I saw you on a meme saying you're new and I've got some free time so I ended up here and bookmarked it.
Unfortunately, anon isn't available for single entries (which I wish was an option!). If you have any specific questions, please feel free to PM me and I'll hook you up.
I've been on DWRP since LJ and I'm pretty much an old hand so I don't mind lending it to a newbie or two. c:
Hey, thanks. I was using some guide I found and it was all like "set the entry up like this" and I was like what the hell are you talking about. I'll keep that in mind if I get any big questions! Right now I'm just kinda poking around and checking out the culture of the place and whatever. I'm trying to spread out a little with RP.
Yeah, I still have issues if I just go to IJ versus DW and they're the same basic build tbh. On the bright side, you have less formatting worries although people can be pretty pretentious about it all.
The culture is here and there, we've all become kinda curmudgeony on the outside. At least the most visible ones! Though I can promise that most people are pretty welcoming and willing to help new folk. There's a list of resources here and I know goodrperssock has a newbie crashpad, but I couldn't tell you how successful that might be but if you're interested in PSLs the subthread could be helpful.
Other useful comms would be dreamwidthlayouts (for layouts) and dreamcodes (for other coding like permissions or profiles, etc.).

So, for site you'd put plurk.com, tumblr.com, livejournal.com; it only works for ones with the mini icons that are supported. I think they're mostly covered in what you can fill out in your journal profile.
Good luck, hope you enjoy yourself here!
