One would hope civilians would have to deal with this sort of thing less, yes. Don't think I'm just trying to go 'oh I've had so much happen' like I'm trying to brag or something. It's just the way it's been.

I didn't think of it as a contest, and it's not one that I've ever wanted to win. In my world, I was studying to go into law enforcement so I could decrease the chances of this kind of thing happening.
