You know, I would probably be more bothered about your casual admission to trying to kill your father if I haven't tried doing that to mine.

But anyway. Is it even possible to destroy the Fog God? How close is the Fourth to achieving that?

Oh, I complain about him all the time. Haven't seen him in a bit, though. Hmmm.

I'd like to think it's possible. I'm not one for giving up, you see. I don't think we have any sort of ETA on that. It's a process. I think we've definitely made progress, though.

Huh. What does he look like? Might keep an eye out for him then. Give him a punch or two if I see him. Free of charge.

But I am starting to wonder why there aren't more people with a positive opinion of the Fourth. I've been piecing together a picture of the peninsula, and I don't think I'm getting the whole image if I'm looking at him pretty favorably right now.

Lots of scars, bulky, brown hair. Eyepatch. He's some sort of big bloody demon now.

Everyone's likely to have their own sort of bias, no matter what. I personally don't exactly,
ah, seek contact with him or anything, so I don't have a ton to say about his character, personally.

You can seek contact with the God? Does he come down in a big bloody flash of light and talk with his followers or something? Can anyone do that?

Erm. I don't suppose your father has a dog with him does he?

Ahhh, I think it's a bit more like visions, but I can't say I know every way he communicates. I think anyone can, though, possibly.

Big, fluffy, eyepatch, looks like a wolf? That would be the one.

Uh. This might make things a little awkward, but oh hell. You should know. Might've already given your father that punch I said I'd give him, and a bit more besides that. About a month ago during the first fog, he came at me out of nowhere and tried to eat me. Mauled me up bad, and his attack dog took a chunk out of my leg too. Gave as good as I got though, and managed to get away. Didn't check how badly he was messed up. To be honest, he's a complete maniac. But that's on him. Would that be before or after you'd last seen him?

Hah! He's always looked a bit beaten up, but I'm sure I would have been able to tell if he was worse off than that, last I saw him. And you fought back both he and DD? Sounds like you did a fine job.

I do hope DD is okay, though. I've always quite liked him.

Father is an absolute maniac, for certain.

Won't lie, almost didn't make it until some strength I didn't know I had kicked in, thought that was it. The dog came out the most fine, really. And as much of a bloodthirsty arsehole your father might have been, I hope he's still alive. Somewhere. Preferably still far away from me.

Tell me about it though. Talking out loud to his dog, telling it can have my leg bone. Not the best first impression. He's got more than a few screws loose there.

I hope he's alive too, because I can't kill him if he's already dead, and I've been waiting for that opportunity my entire bloody life.

And then I get stuck somewhere where he's going to revive and the point is moot. How's that for irony?

DD's very well trained, so I suppose Father goes a little overboard on that. That's...

Bizarre is right. Normally ther'es no end of people trying to kill me, or at least talking at me why they're doing it, but this one was completely unprovoked. At least you didn't get that from him. Whatever snecked his genes up doesn't seem to have passed down onto you.

And very ironic, yes. Honestly if I were you and my father were here, I'd have an honest go of it anyway. But that's just me.

Hmph. Yes, I suppose in very small circumstances maybe it was better the genes I got weren't those ones.

[Oh jeez, the genes. It's reeeaally hard for him to not go on a tirade about it.]

I might have tried it once, but really I don't need to deal with that among everything else. Perhaps another time.
